Moyola Lodge Aged Care Tatura
‘$2 million federal funding from ACAR key to driving Moyola’s long-term sustainability and excellence agenda’
On the 30th of July 2021 Moyola Lodge Tatura were formally advised that
their application had been successful in the 2020 Aged Care Approvals
Round (ACAR) and will receive $2 million in capital funding.
The Tatura based not-for-profit residential aged care provider will use the
proceeds to fund part of their multi-million-dollar refurbishment, earmarked to
commence in 2023. The project will focus on the upgrade and extension of
Moyola Lodge, improving both capacity and experience for residents and their
families. Moyola’s Board of Management has already embarked on a
comprehensive early planning process, which is nearing completion. The next
step will be the submission of plans to Council for approval. Once plans are
approved by Council, the detailed design phase will commence in 2022.
The refurbishment project demonstrates the Board’s commitment to the
continued improvement and enhancement of Moyola Lodge for its current and
future residents.
CEO of Moyola Lodge, Polly Devine said “This is an outstanding result not
only for Moyola and its residents, but for the broader Tatura community. This
grant will allow us to accelerate and expand our capital works plans,
delivering high quality service to seven additional beds, in significantly
enhanced facilities. She added “this grant, combined with the generosity and
ongoing support of the local community means Moyola’s long-term future is
looking very bright”.
